VALENCIA (CNS) - An oil leak from an underground pipeline created some traffic headaches in Valencia today as a hazardous materials team was dispatched to assess and contain the small amount of crude that bubbled into a grassy area and over a sidewalk.
No injuries were reported due to the leak, but the situation prompted a temporary closure of all northbound lanes of The Old Road and as many as three right lanes of Magic Mountain Parkway.
With the leak halted and primarily contained, the road closures were scaled back, with only one right lane of Magic Mountain Parkway still blocked as of late afternoon.
It was unclear what caused the leak.
