WATCH: Thieves take off with $6,300 worth of material from Habitat for Humanity job site in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KNX) - Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento shared a video of a group of suspects stealing building material from one of the nonprofit’s job sites.

The nonprofit said it happened at 7 a.m. Wednesday and that $6,300 worth of building materials were taken.

The video shows what looks like four suspects breaking into the site and loading wood into a flatbed before taking off.

“As a nonprofit that works hard to stretch every resource and dollar donated to provide critically needed affordable housing for low-income single mothers, families, seniors, and veterans, we are heartbroken to see this deliberate and coordinated theft of needed build materials from our jobsite,” the organization wrote.

A police report has been filed.
