LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Two people were injured in an apartment fire in Echo Park early Sunday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the fire at 1072 N. Kensington Road at 4:54 a.m. The blaze was out in 32 minutes, according to a press release.
"Firefighters found two patients and evaluated and transported both to the hospital," Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department told City News Service. The victims are believed to be a man and a woman.
Five people were displaced because of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation; however, Prange said it appeared to have begun in a living room.
