
COLTON, Calif. (KNX) – A Union Pacific freight train derailment Monday in Colton caused 13 cars to go off the tracks.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. in the K and 5th streets area, CBS Los Angeles reported.

One of the cars did catch fire, but the fire was quickly extinguished, a spokesperson for Union Pacific confirmed.
Multiple outlets said the train was carrying lumber.
No injuries were reported.
Colton police are investigating the cause of the derailment.
