Fans for the U.S. Men’s National Team crossed state lines to Venice Beach this morning in anticipation of watching the World Cup match.
A couple of fans, like Johnny Chaney and his family, scored tickets to the match tonight.
They spoke to KNX News’ Jon Baird. They traveled from Kansas City to watch the game.
“It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me,” he said, “I'll never be able to get to do this with my kids again, probably.”
NFL quarterback Jameis Winston made an appearance at Soccer House, hyping up fans with a chant before heading inside.
“It's been 20 years since I've seen USA play in a World Cup, so, and, and never on home soil,” said a fan from Texas, “I figured I'd make it right by, by coming for this one.”
Soccer House offers free entry for anyone registered as an “insider” on its site for watch parties and exclusive meet-and-greets.
The U.S. will play Paraguay tonight at 6 p.m. at SoFi Stadium.
