LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Public health officials have issued health warnings for water at three beaches in Los Angeles County, citing high bacterial levels.
The L.A. County Department of Public Health has warned beachgoers to avoid swimming, surfing, or otherwise having contact with ocean waters at Mother’s Beach in Marina del Rey, Santa Monica Pier, and Topanga Canyon Beach in Malibu.
Warnings were issued on Friday.
Similar warnings for Malibu Point and Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider beach were lifted after recent sample results indicated water quality to be within state standards.
