Douglas is Richard's 13 year old son, and Douglas nominated his dad because "He is a really good first responder and dad. He has been in the fire service for 15 years and I have been trying to get him nominated for over a year. That is why I am nominating him. It would really make my happy for him to be the First Responder for Friday, if anyone deserves this recognition- it's him."
