Wet Nose Wednesday: Meet Bates!

WNW_bates

Meet Bates! A big boy, weighing in at 67lbs, he's a Great Dane Mix with lots of love to give! He entered the Guilford County Animal Shelter in late September and has won the hearts of shelter staff and volunteers alike! Bates is full of personality and curiousity and is a really smart pup. He also loves a good challenge, things that make him think like the puzzle boxes at the shelter. He is friendly and sweet and just a big baby who wants all the love. Bates is also heartworm positive, which is a curable condition that the GCAS is happy to assist with (see below.)

If you're looking for a companion, look no further than at your local animal shelter. Stop by, see the animals, and don't forget to love on Bates while you're there!

COVID-19 UPDATE: GCAS requires an adoption appointment to meet all shelter animals. You can call 336-641-3401 for an appointment. Appointments are available from 12p-3p weekdays (Mondays and Wednesdays-Fridays), and 12p-4p on weekends (Saturday-Sunday.)

Be sure to stay up to date on the latest events: The GCAS has their Heartworm Treatment Deal! You get 30% off the treatment needed for your animal, they work closely with Oak Ridge Vetinarians (and hope to have more Vets addded) and they design a treatment plan tailored to fit your pups needs!

If you'd like more information on any of the adoptable pets at Guilford County Animal Shelter please contact 336-641-3400 or check out their website. If you'd like to donate to the shelter, the animals are always in need of blankets, towels and treats!
