Meet Kapoine (Kap for short), a resident at Guilford County Animal Shelter. He's a docile boy looking for a loving home.
Kap is a brown and white Pit Bull Mix, at 5 years old he's ready to play! Sweet Kap loves snuggles, treats, and play time. He's a big boy too, weighing in at 47.5 pounds!
Kapoine has been at GCAS since early January, he is Heartworm Positive but don't let you keep that from taking this fella home. If you're looking for a companion, look no further than at your local animal shelter. Stop by, see the animals, and don't forget to love on Kap while you're there!
COVID-19 UPDATE: GCAS now requires an adoption appointment to meet all shelter animals. You can call 336-641-3401 for an appointment. Appointments are available from 12p-3p weekdays (Mondays and Wednesdays-Fridays), and 12p-4p on weekends (Saturday-Sunday.)
Be sure to stay up to date on the latest events: The GCAS is starting back up their Heartworm Treatment Deal! You get 30% off the treatment needed for your animal, they work closely with Oak Ridge Vetinarians (and hope to have more Vets addded) and they design a treatment plan tailored to fit your pups needs!
If you'd like more information on Kapoine or any of the adoptable pets at Guilford County Animal Shelter please contact 336-641-3400 or check out their website. If you'd like to donate to the shelter, the animals are always in need of blankets, towels and treats!
Guilford County Animal Shelter is looking for volunteers to walk dogs off-property on Saturday mornings. If you're interested in getting more information, or to find out how to get involved, please contact Lisa Lee: llee@guilfordcounty.nc.gov
