Five Things For Tuesday:

1. Gabrielle Gerhart, of Wisconsin, has set a new world record for the largest four-leaf clover collection. She has 118,719 clovers. She beat the old record by 7,000. Gabrielle says collecting clovers soothes her mind.


2. The car used in the Dukes of Hazzard TV series crashed on Sunday on Highway 165 in Taney County, Missouri. The driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital. The General Lee was one of 309 built for the original TV show. No word on what caused the crash.

3. The website Boing Boing recently did an article on Lent and which meats are okay to eat until April 6th. They posted a 2010 letter from a New Orleans Archbishop saying alligators are considered part of the fish family and are okay to eat. They then published a 2013 letter from the Catholic News Agency which said snakes, turtles, tortoises, fish, beavers, muskrats and snakes are okay to eat during Lent because they live on both land and water as opposed to just land.

4. It's National Science Day.

4. (Fun Fact): John Chapman . . . a.k.a. Johnny Appleseed . . . didn't plant apple trees for people to eat. He planted them so people could make alcoholic cider.
