Five Things for Monday:
1. Bed Bath & Beyond may file for bankruptcy because of declining sales, a dwindling cash reserve and their debt load.
2. Peloton has been fined $19 million for failing to promptly report a treadmill defect that could cause serious injury. More than 150 people were pulled under and entrapped by the Tread+ treadmill. Some people broke bones while one child was killed.
3. It's National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
4. The Allen Parish, Louisiana police recently arrested Erica Giles for impersonating a doctor. She opened a dermatology practice and performed services she was not licensed to perform. Erica made a fake diploma from Northwestern. She was charging some patients $1,000 per treatment.
5. (Fun Fact): Peanut M&M's were invented by a guy named Forrest Mars, who was allergic to peanuts.
