Five Things For Thurday:
1. CBS has canceled "The Late Late Show" after 30 years. James Corden is leaving the show at the end of the current season. The network will replace the show with a game show called "@ midnight"
2. A Tulsa, Oklahoma couple was recently charged $4,444 for two Starbucks coffees. Jesse O'Dell ordered an iced Americano for himself and a caramel frappuccino for his wife. The bill was around $10.75. Several days later, his wife, DeeDee, tried to use their credit card at the mall when it was declined. Starbucks charged Jesse $4,444 for the coffees. Starbucks immediately apologized and sent the couple two checks for over $4,000. The checks bounced. Starbucks has not sent new checks or a refund.
3. The hard seltzer brand Topo Chico is celebrating Valentine's Day with real scorpions. The company is dipping the scorpions in strawberry guava and then sending them to people's ex-partners. The Scorpion Valentine's costs $6.99 and goes on sale this Friday. The scorpions are safe to eat.
4. It's National Pizza Day. What's your favorite type of pizza?
5. (Fun Fact): In Victorian times, treadmills were used as a prison punishment to prevent idleness. Some British convicts in the 1800s were forced to trudge on treadmills for HOURS a day.
