1. The Jersey Shore, home to Snooki, The Situation and the other stars of the MTV show, have banned alcohol from their beaches and boardwalk. Local officials want to cut down on complaints about drunks and marijuana smokers. Violators are facing $2,000 fines and 90 days in jail. Locals say drunk tourists are fueling crime in the area


2. A Southwest Airlines pilot recently locked himself out of the cockpit. Passengers took pictures of the pilot as he crawled through one of the plane's windows to get back into his seat. Southwest responded by posting; "Definitely something you don't see everyday."

3. A man recently broke into the Sweet Something Bakery at 3:00 a.m. in Vancouver, Canada but it went a little different than expected. The man entered the business after smashing its glass doors but once inside, the man cleaned up the broken glass, mopped the floors, took selfies in orange sunglasses and then left with six cupcakes. The bakery created a new cupcake based on the crime. They are calling it a Crime Of Passion. The chocolate cupcake is topped with pink icing and edible orange and black sunglasses.

4. On this date in 1896, the first car accident occurred.

5. (Fun Fact): The first satellite images on Google Maps weren't taken by satellites . . . they were taken by planes. And "Satellite" view was almost called "Bird Mode."
