Five Things For Thursday:
1. Starbucks is now selling coffee infused with olive oil. The extra virgin olive oil is from Italy and is being placed in lattes and espressos. Starbucks steams the olive oil with oat milk before adding it to coffee.
2. Jeff Reitz, of California, set a new Guinness World Record by visiting Disneyland for 2,995 consecutive days. Jeff's visits started in 2012. He had to stop going to the park after it closed down due to the Coronavirus. Jeff chronicled his trip before Guinness recently certified his record.
3. Some Airbnb owners are posting new rules in their apartments and homes ahead of Spring Break. Some owners are refusing to allow perfume, cologne and body oils to be sprayed in their dwelling. Other Airbnb owners are posting signs that say their hot water shuts off after eight minutes in order to conserve water. Another Airbnb owner demands that only Scott toilet paper be used because quilted toilet paper will clog his pipes and cause a sewage backup in his apartment.
4. It's National Chili Day.
5. (Fun Fact): The height of Mount Everest was originally calculated in 1865 at exactly 29,000 feet. But it was published as being 29,002 feet because scientists were afraid people would assume "29,000" was just a rounded estimate.
It's now considered to be 29,031.7 feet above sea level . . . and there's no funny business with the numbers.
