No, it's not a dating website but we are trying to hook you up with a new companion! Meet Dutch, a 75 lb, two year old Dutch/German Shepherd boy. He really enjoys hanging out with other large, energetic dogs. Dutch is friendly with dog savvy cats, too. Even though sometimes he likes to chase them!
Dutch hasn't had the chance to play before, but he's starting to learn how much fun it is! Dutch is friendly with people, but because of his size and energy level, it’s best if he goes to a home with older children only.
Dutch has a lot of energy, so if you’re looking for a hiking or jogging buddy, he's your guy! He also really likes to learn, his foster family has been diligently working with Dutch and he's just about mastered all of the key commands! He's housebroken and create trained and loves peanut butter filled Kongs, so if you give him one of those he'll be a very happy boy!
Overall Dutch is a sweet, goofy boy who just wants a family that will show him love and is willing to continue his training.

Freedom German Shepherd Rescue is an 100% foster home based rescue, so they can only take in dogs if they have a foster home for them— and they of course never have enough foster space. FGSR covers all vetting and provides a crate and food, our fosters just need to provide the love :)
