Shannen Doherty got vulnerable about her future while battling stage 4 breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 2015. She went into remission in 2017, and the cancer returned in 2020.

On a recent episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty,” the former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star said she tends “to be the person who cries in a closet by themself.”

“Listen, I do complain,” she said on the program. “I just don’t complain in front of people.”

Doherty said she constantly tries to get perspective on her ongoing fight.

"I 100% have those moments where I feel all of it, and I wish for something different," she said. "But then I always have to look at the other side of it and go, 'Well then, what else would you be dealing with? And would it be as impactful and would it be as meaningful as this?'"

She went on saying how she wants to live much longer because of all the things she wants to accomplish. Those goals include raising money for cancer research.

She even went into what she’d like the atmosphere to be at her funeral. She hopes it would be a “love fest” and those in attendance would be her friends as opposed to people showing up because “it’s the politically correct thing to do.”
