"Get ready to rip! New song 'Here Comes The Shock' out Sunday in North America + the rest of the world on Monday," Green Day announced on social media on Wednesday. "Hear it first during this Saturday's #NHLOutdoors at Lake Tahoe game at 3pm ET on @NBC!!"
Fans can catch the premiere of "Here Comes the Shock" for the first time on Saturday, February 20 during a highlight reel of the top plays of the first quarter of the 2020/21 pro hockey season. The game itself begins at 3PM ET live on NBC.
"LOUD season has returned. We’re stoked 'Here Comes The Shock' will soundtrack the NHL's return to the outdoors!" Green Day said in a statement.
This news comes on a quite important day for the band -- frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is celebrating his 49th trip around the sun today. Although he's the one who's supposed to be receiving the presents, it's Green Day fans who are the lucky ones today!
