We're back with another installment of 7 Rock songs you need to hear right now and July's picks are songs you're going to want to listen to loud.
From veteran rockers, to bands we haven't heard from in some time, and newcomers that have burst onto the scene, here are 7 Rock songs that need to be added to your playlist right now.
Beartooth - The Past is Dead
Want an over the top music video that features everything we love about rock 'n' roll? You've got one with Beartooth's "The Past is Dead" video. There's fire, lots of it, epic shots that match the epicness of the chorus. The song is a headbanger and comes from the band's debut album Below, which was released on June 25.
Green Day - Pollyanna
Green Day made their entry into the "song of the summer" entry when they dropped their breezy new rocker "Pollyanna." The uplifting tune was released in celebration of the band's return to the road when they dropped dates for their 2021 Hella Mega Tour alongside Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
Pop Evil - Survivor
Pop Evil proved the wait was worth it when they dropped Versatile, their first album since 2018, this past May. Led by "Survivor," a song that encapsulates what made us fall in love with Pop Evil in the first place. Poignant lyrics, blistering guitars, and more.
LA Rats - I've Been Everywhere
Play Johnny Cash but make it metal. That's exactly what the supergroup L.A. Rats did with this blistering cover of "I've Been Everywhere." Plus, it has an incredibly cool music video that harkens back to those classic bada** rock videos of yesteryear.
Foo Fighters - Making A Fire
That's how you start off an album. The opening track from Foo Fighters' 10th studio record also kicks off our playlist as this rollicking groover is one of those songs you can't help listening to over-and-over again.
Fozzy - Sane
If it seems like we've been waiting forever for the new Fozzy album to arrive, it's because it's been in the news since 2019. Good news, it could be seeing the light of day soon as veteran metal band's rollercoaster ride is over as they shared their rocking new single "Sane." Well, the rollercoaster part may not be over as evidenced by the song's music video.
AVOID - HostAge At A BeAch House PArty
Up and comers AVOID certainly get the blood pumping with their new track "HostAge At A BeAch House PArty." Aside from being a great song, you have to give the band props for including a Jim Rome audio sample at the beginning of the track.
