PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan)- Steelers 1st round pick Devin Bush joined The Fan Morning Show Thursday to talk about his time in Pittsburgh so far and his experiences with his new team.
Bush talked about what that moment was like when he first arrived in the city and how he knew he was right where he was supposed to be.
"I think I felt that when I got off the plane. There were so many people just waiting on me and cheering me on. When I got in the limo and went through the tunnel, everything just opened up. I saw everything, I saw the building, the water, the bridges, the field, the baseball field, the fountain, it kind of just all hit at one time. The first thing that went through my mind was, 'hey, I'm home.'"
Bush is excited to play in this Steelers defense in particular, one that he feels caters right to his strengths as a player.
"It just gives you a chance to have your athletes do what athletes do best and that's make plays. Everybody's got their eyes to the ball and everybody's got their own assignment. At the end of the day it's 'see ball, get ball' and that's what we're going to play."
Bringing that to the Steelers, it's like hey, I'm a guy that stands for something so I'm not going to let anybody try to do whatever they want to do to my teammates or feel like they can do this or do that. I'm going to stand up for mine because we worked hard as a team and it's a whole brotherhood thing."
