PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Josh Harris claims Ben Roethlisberger purposely fumbled the ball against the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2014 season.

Responding to a tweet that read, “The Steelers real locker room problem,” with a picture of Roethlisberger, Harris said that during the Bengals game in week 17 of the 2014 season, “Todd Haley called a run play with very little time left in the game. Ben wanted to kneel. He rolled his eyes in the huddle. He then purposely fumbles the ball. I had to recover it. At that moment I knew what kinda person he was.”

2014 week 17 we were playing the bengals. Todd Haley called a run play with very little time left in the game. Ben wanted to kneel. He rolled his eyes in the huddle. He then purposely fumbles the ball. I had to recover it. At that moment I knew what kinda person he was.

Here is another look at the play:

Look, if Roethlisberger did that intentionally, it's inexcusable. But he clearly runs into the fullback, causing the fumble. Also, there's 1:09 left, #Steelers had 1st and 10 and Cincy had one timeout. They were up by 10 points. Why the hell would Haley not kneel on it?
