PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - A day after the Steelers agreed with Antonio Brown and that it is time to move on and trade the star wide receiver, General Manager Kevin Colbert announced the team will not put the franchise tag on running back Le’Veon Bell.

Meeting with reporters, Colbert said that there are a couple reasons they are not putting the tag on Bell, the play of James Conner and Jaylen Samuels last season and the $14.5 million price that comes with tagging bell.

The decision from the Steelers means Bell will now be an unrestricted free agent for 2019.

#Steelers won't tag Bell per GM Colbert - good production from Conner/Samuels plus can't afford it because of other "needs"
