PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - Another year of Baseball Hall of Fame voting, another year of Barry Bonds being on the outside looking in.

Pirates broadcaster Greg Brown joined The PM Team with Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller and shared his thoughts on the former Pirate not getting in and if he deserves to be in.

"Ya, I've come around, I think, to the idea that he should be in.  If you're going to have a Hall of Fame and you don't have Bonds in it, you don't have [Roger] Clemens in it, what's the point?  Those are two of the greatest players that ever played position wide and pitching wise."

Brown added that there are already guys in the Hall of Fame that we're suspicious of using steroids, so if they haven't proven anything on Bonds, then he should be in as well.

A big way Greg judges who deserves to get in and who doesn't is by using "the eye test."

"Are you watching a Hall of Famer?  It's pretty simple.  And then if there's a little bit of a gray area and you have to dive into some stats, fine, but it's crazy at this point, that Bonds isn't in there.  Believe me, I've been no fan of Barry Bonds, I've been very public about that, but he is...one of the greatest players, if not the greatest player that ever played the game of baseball."
