PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - He's one of the best football reporters to ever cover the NFL and John Clayton has reasons for Steelers fans to be optimistic about the upcoming season if it's played.
Clayton was asked by Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller of The PM Team how many wins he had for the Steelers when he looked over their schedule last week after it was release.
"I think 11 or 12," Clayton told us.
So while Vegas and most experts have the Steelers around 9 or 10 wins, what makes John think they can get all the way up to 11 or 12?
"They've got 11 games against quarterbacks that have 3 years or less experience. They've got games coming up against new coaches...That's going to be a big advantage for Ben Roethlisberger lisberger...If you're in a league, a quarterback driven league, with so many young quarterbacks, the experienced quarterback is going to be the one that's going to take advantage of them, and Ben can do that."
