PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Kris Letang is a player that puts his money where his mouth is.
Last September Stoystown, Somerset County native Ian Rosenbaum got to meet Letang after the Penguins all-star defenseman found out the seven-year-old was diagnosed with leukemia.
At the time Letang told the Tribune-Democrat he would help in any way he could.
Ian’s mother told Pens Inside Scoop’s Sam Kasan, "Kris is a true hero to Ian," Joelle said. "He definitely looks up to him. He talks about him every time he's at Children's (Hospital) to all the nurses. That's something he will remember forever."
Ian told Kasan he is an aspiring defenseman and wants 58 to be his number.
