(93.7 The Fan) The Penguins are set to hold “Black Hockey History Day” when the NHL’s Black Hockey History mobile museum comes to Pittsburgh on Friday, January 31st.
The mobile museum is the centerpiece for the day and will be stationed at Miller African Centered Academy in the Hill District for tours by the students.
It will then be parked across from PPG Paints Arena on Logan Avenue from 4-7 p.m. for free tours open to all ages of the public.

— Pittsburgh Penguins (@penguins) January 21, 2020The Black Hockey History mobile museum is on tour throughout NHL cities to highlight today’s stars as well as looking back at those who changed the game and shape NHL history.
The museum celebrates players who helped shape hockey history, including those players of color who have become Stanley Cup Champions, including former Penguin Trevor Daley who was a solid defensive piece on the back-to-back cup runs in 2016 and 2017.
Black Girl Hockey Club will also be special guests on January 31, when more than 45 members from across the country are expected to attend.
Many of the members will also be volunteering at the Miller African Centered Academy during the mobile bus tour.
Renee Hess of Riverside, Calif. Is the founder of Black Girl Hockey Club and is a Penguins fan herself.
"Black Hockey History Day" is the first of four “Hockey is for Everyone” initiatives the Penguins are hosting in the second half of the season.
The remaining dates and events are:
February 16 vs. Detroit - "Hockey Day in Pittsburgh," highlighting all levels of local youth hockey, including disabled hockey.
March 22 vs. Washington - "Her Hockey Day," celebrating girls and women in hockey.
March 24 vs. Carolina - "Pride Night," focusing on the LGBTQ community.
The Penguins will face off against their rival Philadelphia Flyers on January 31 at 7:00 p.m.
