Penn State's Miles Sanders Making Himself Eligible For NFL Draft

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – After a breakout 2018 season,  Woodland Hills graduate and Penn State running back Miles Sanders is making himself eligible for the 2019 NFL draft forgoing his finally season of eligibility with the Nittany Lions.

Sanders made the announcement Thursday morning on Twitter saying, “I want to start by saying that this decision was not an easy one. I have so many people to thank for my experience here at Penn State and so much love for my teammates, coaches and the FANS. The Penn State culture has allowed me to grow on and off the field while teaching me valuable life lessons along the way.”

Sanders went on to thank his family, coaches and fans before making the formal announcement.

“As I prepare for the road ahead, I truly believe that this is the best next step in my future. Thanks to so many of you, my future is bright and I’ll never forget my home here at Penn State. #WeAre”

Sanders who were the back up to Saquon Barkley for his two seasons rushed for 1,274 yards and had 193 receiving yards in 2018.

The 2019 NFL Draft is April 25-27.
