PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pirates are slowly getting healthier. The team announced Friday that they expect outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall to begin a rehab assignment Friday evening for Triple-A affiliate Indianapolis.
Chisenhall has a history of missing playing time. While with the Indians he frequently missed time due to calf issues.
Chisenhall’s replacement 34-year-old Melky Cabrera has done well in right for the Bucs so far in 2019 batting .367 in 16 games with 4 R.B.I’s and 3 doubles.
