PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The 2019 ACC-Big 10 Women's Basetball Challenge matchups were announced Tuesday morning and the Pittsburgh Panthers will be traveling to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions on Thursday December 5, 2019 in State College, PA.
This will be the first time the two schools have faced each other in Women's Basketball since December 17, 2017 with Penn State leading the series 29-13, including three consecutive victories, and this will be the first time the two schools have met in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge.
This will be the 6th Women's Basketball Challenge that Pitt will be a part of since joining the ACC and they own a 2-3 record in the previous five contests including a 52-49 victory over Northwestern last season.
Since the game will be played in State College, the game will appear on either BTN, ESPN, ESPN2 or BTN Plus.
The ACC has won 9 Challenge titles and ACC teams have won at least 6 games in every challenge since it began back in 2007. The ACC holds a 90-61 overall mark in challenge games in that span.
