Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC Beat Hartford In Home Opener

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC opened the 2019 season at Highmark Stadium with a 3-1 win against Hartford Athletic Saturday night.

The Hounds got a goal from Steevan Dos Santos just 14 minutes into the match but the Athletic tied the game up in the 54th minute.

The Hounds then got two goals in the 74th and 81st minutes from Kevin Kerr and Neco Brett respectively to secure the victory.

The win gives the Hounds an overall record of 2-1-2 in the early season.

The excitement of last season seems to have carried over to 2019 with 5,182 Hounds fans in attendance on the south shore for the home opening of the team’s 20th season.

Up next, The Hounds will take on Saint Louis FC this Saturday at Highmark Stadium. Saint Louis is 4-0-2 so far on the season.
