(93.7 The Fan) - Former Pirates MVP and All-Star Andrew McCutchen's season ended unexpectedly in early June when he tore his ACL, meaning there was no way he was going to get an All-Star experience this season but his wife Maria, a DuBois native, made sure he did.

Without him knowing, Cutch's wife secretly planned and decorated their basement with all kinds of all-star stuff including a red carpet, snacks and more for an All-Star watching party.

My wife said that since I didn't have the chance to be an All Star, she wanted to bring the All Star game to me----. I can't thank my wife @mariamccutchen enough for all of this! I'm still amazed at how she did all of this without me knowing------‍♂️--. To all who came, thank you. What a surprise! The coolest thing...the cake topper! Check my story out if you want to see/hear more!
