For 30 long months, Fan Morning Show co-host Colin Dunlap’s daughter Darran has been undergoing regular chemotherapy treatments.

Friday marked her last treatment and after, she got to ring the bell signaling the end of treatments.

The entire city and its sports teams rallied around Darran supporting her and her family through it all.

The Dunlap’s decided to make Darran’s story publish to bring more awareness to the childhood cancer that affects roughly 3,500 kids a year.

Dunlap said on Twitter, “Thank you to everyone who supported us to this point in Darran’s cancer fight. We elected to be public w her fight so as to hopefully raise funds and awareness and also help anyone in a similar battle press on. If she has motivated one person to keep pushing, she’s been a hero.”

Through all of the treatments Darran never let the cancer beat her down.

Back in December of 2016 Dunlap shared a video of Darran, body beaten down by chemo, walking up the stairs by on her own, not allowing her parents to help her. “I’ll make it” she would say.

my daughter's body is crushed by chemo but she won't let me carry her up steps to bed. "I'll make it,"she says each night-and does. so tough pic.twitter.com/4xe9VecqI0

Anytime Dunlap would post about Darran’s treatment he always says “toughest girl I know” and we think he’s right.

While Darran’s fight isn’t completely over, she has reached an important milestone!

If you would like to help brave boys and girls like Darran who are fighting pediatric cancer you can donate to UPMC Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund.
