PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Steelers former offensive line coach Mike Munchak left the organization Monday to take the same position with the Denver Broncos.
Shortly after Munchak’s decision was announced, the Steelers released a statement saying that the team’s offensive assistant Shaun Sarrett would take over as the O-line coach.
“We are excited to promote Shaun to coach our offensive line,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said in the statement. “We have full confidence in his coaching abilities, and we look forward to him using his experience as he has been preparing for this opportunity to take on the challenges that will be presented to him.”

While the Steelers seemed to be pleased with their choice to replace Munchak, it doesn’t seem they wanted to have to.
The end of the statement quickly mentioned Munchack. “Sarrett replaces Mike Munchak who has joined the Denver Broncos coaching staff.”
But on Tuesday Mike Tomlin took to Twitter to thank Munchak for his time with the Steelers.
