Poni and Mueller talk a ton of Steelers draft.

They have a digital rolodex of sources that keep them informed on the latest draft happenings. They know the names that should be on your radar.

Chris Mueller and Andrew Fillipponi have both burned the midnight oil talking to scouts, former GMs, and various draft evaluators. They're sleep-deprived and over caffeinated. But they aim to please; You, the 93.7 the Fan listener.

Changes have been made to the original PM Team's original mock draft. Because of new data. New tremendous information. This is the PM Team Steelers mock draft 2.0.

  • 2nd round pick #49, Clyde Edwards-Hellaire RB LSUSources believe 3 top RBs will be off the board when the Steelers are on the clock with this pick: Jonathan Taylor, JK Dobbins, and D'Andre Swift. It could be a Steelers blessing in disguise. Edwards-Hellaire fits the Steelers pass happy offense. He led the nation in receptions by a running back. He was Joe Burrow's security blanket. He's a WR/RB hybrid. Like Le'Veon Bell. But he's also rotund and husky. Sources say weight is a red flag.
  • 3rd round pick #102, Bryan Edwards WR South CarolinaHines Ward was a 3rd round pick. Edwards plays like Hines. He likes going over the middle. He's one of the most physical wide receivers in the draft. He can play inside and outside. He'll block. He's tough. He says a career goal is to end up on Dancing with the Stars someday. A Steelers wide receiver indeed.
  • 4th round pick #124, Alton Robinson Edge SyracuseOur sources tell us that Syracuse's defense wasn't good last year. That Robinson got caught up in it all. He wasn't the rose between many thorns. He underachieved. But his 2018 tape was tremendous. A key cog on a 10 win team. A possible Bud Dupree replacement? Probably not. An Anthony Chickillo upgrade? Absolutely.
  • 4th round pick #135, John Simpson Guard ClemsonSteelers need youth on the offensive line. They need to get young. Simpson is an adequate player. Doesn't have a ton of upside. He's solid. He could play for a very long time in the this league. Steelers like to bring OL along slowly. Unless you're Pouncey. Or DeCastro. They like OL projects.
  • 6th round pick #168, Francis Bernard LB UtahA Vince Williams clone. Aggressive inside linebacker. Who specializes in playing against the run. Bernard can be unleashed on special teams to start. Where he can learn from arguably the greatest special teams performer of all-time, Derek Watt. Would compete with Ulysses Gilbert for a roster spot.
  • 7th round pick #232, Tommy Townsend P FloridaJordan Berry continues to steal money from the Steelers. He shanks punts in big moments. Josh Miller could come out of his comfortable retirement down in Florida and outpunt Berry right now. Townsend on the other hand is a punting prodigy. With tons of accolades. And praise. Our scouts love him. And you will too. Because he's not Jordan Berry.

So what do you think? With all due respect to the other so-called Steelers draft experts, this one might be the best. A ton of research and time went into it. Thanks for reading!
