Pitt Honors Pittsburgh Pro Franchises With Blackout Jersey

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Pitt’s blackout jersey is getting a Pittsburgh twist this year.

 The men’s basketball team has had an alternate black jersey for the past 6-7 seasons and this year’s “incorporates elements of the city’s pro team uniforms into the design,” said Matt Plizga Assistant AD of Media Relations for the University of Pittsburgh.

“The uniform was designed to pay homage to Pittsburgh’s pro franchises while also using some of the new branding elements that Pitt introduced in April.”
