Week 2 of the Audacy Pittsburgh Fantasy Football League brought some redemption, some failure and even some social media controversy.
Let’s check out how it all went down…
HIGHLIGHTS
Kupp of Gronk: The Fan Morning Squad led the way last week in total scoring with a 152.56 point showing, but that that top score only last one week. Suba’s Sackers, led by sales manager Denise Suba, promotions director Amy Mauk, sale assistant Julie Walker, put up a monster 195.86. Cooper Kupp continued his torrid pace to begin the season, scoring 2 touchdowns and 32.30 points. Same thing from Rob Gronkowski (17.90)…he and his bestie Tom Brady connected for 2 more touchdowns. Apparently those two have a video series together now where Brady says he’s going to play until he’s 50.
Oh, and 34.26 points from Lamar Jackson and a whopping 38.50 points from Aaron Jones doesn’t hurt either. The Sackers rolled. That might be a score that won’t be topped all year long.

Surprise of the Week: Coming off a week in which it scored the 3rd-lowest point total (87.84) and heading into this matchup as 6-point underdogs to The PM Team…Team, the Sunday Grinders found redemption. How about a 141.42 point explosion?
The Grinders’ Derrick Henry came alive after a quiet Week 1, shelling out 182 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, good for 44.70 points to lead the way. Mike Evans caught 2 touchdowns as well, after being largely ignored by Brady in Week 1.
Sunday Grinder co-owner Shelby Cassesse took to Twitter to celebrate the victory on Monday morning.
Co-owner Josh Taylor got in on the action with a little Tomlin-themed praise.
We could have controversy though, as Chris Mueller responded by saying, "Better watch one of your teammates...he's not being as gracious as you...firing off bulletin-board material in texts." One could speculate this was directed at the third man of the Grinders' operation, producer Greg Finley. Something to watch out for as the season progresses...
Almost equally as surprising was the PM Team…Team’s lackluster performance on the other side of this matchup. After a lopsided Week 1 win, they could only muster up 79.42 points despite being projected to get 121.99 at the beginning of the week. Two total TD’s, one from Justin Herbert, one from Calvin Ridley, was the culprit here. Back to the drawing board they go…
Bouncin’ Back: After being letdown by a seemingly disinterested Aaron Rodgers last week, CBDD (Dorin Dickerson, Cale Berger) rode #12’s 26.80 points to victory and shook off an ugly loss to start the year. The came into their matchup as 4-point underdogs, too.
Where Is Zeise?!: Paul Zeise is known for his late-nigh rants. They could be about anything…Steelers offensive line…something he saw on Twitter…the mic flag coming off and hitting him in the kneecap...maybe even his fantasy football squad. Through two weeks, Zeise Is King (Zeise & 93.7 The Fan’s senior VP Michael Spacc) is at the very basement of the league. They’re 0-2 and have the fewest combined total points scored. Cue the fiery diatribe in 3…2…1…
2 In A Row, Look At ‘Em Go: The Fan Morning Squad (Colin Dunlap, Chris Mack, Matt Koll) joined a select group of just 3 total teams who are still undefeated to start the year.
Kosher Nostra (ad executives Jeff Martin, Jen Halle, Anthony Fontana) and the Marty Party (ad executive Marty Tougher & digital sales manager Ryan Croyle) are the other two.
