Signs that the world is returning to normal all around us.
PNC Park is once again allowed to be at full capacity with Re-Opening weekend underway.
Another huge sign is Jim Colony being in studio in the 5 a.m. hour eating last night’s dinner for breakfast.
Prior to the Fan Morning Show on Friday, Chris Mack caught Jim Colony getting ready to eat a piping hot container of Spaghetti.
For those of you who are unaware, before the pandemic, Jim would roll into the station early, usually before 5 a.m. with a cooler filled with drinks and his “breakfast” which consisted of whatever his lovely wife Linda would prepare the night before.
The smell of spaghetti or meat and veggie would waft through the halls indicating that all was right with the world.
The return of Jim’s breakfast spaghetti caught the attention of former Pirates pitcher Trevor Williams (now with the Cubs).
A big fan of the one minute vignettes of Jim in the past, Williams has called Jim’s breakfast habits “questionable.”
But a pandemic can change people’s views. Williams is now happy to see the spaghetti back in the 5 a.m. hour and calls it a return to “some ‘normalcy.’”
We have nothing against those who enjoy dinner for breakfast. Heck, our brother station 1001.1 & AM 1020 KDKA has a Spaghetti Breakfast every fall.
