Of course for the Steelers to make the post season, first and foremost they need to win their game Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

But if that happens they still have a big roadblock standing in their way to the postseason.
That roadblock is the Jacksonville Jaguars. They have to beat the Indianapolis Colts for the Steelers to make the playoffs. (In addition, Sunday night’s game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers cannot end in a tie).
John Reed of the Florida Times Union tells Cook & Joe, the Steelers hopes are pretty slim.
“I don’t think that those odds are going to be good going against this Colts team when they can’t score, they can’t stop, they can’t tackle,” said Reed. “This Jaguars team, I’ll tell you, if you’re depending on them, there’s a lot of people in Jacksonville been depending on just seeing quality football and they haven’t been able to see that so.”
Reed gives the Jaguars a 20 percent chance of winning and that’s only because they have Trevor Lawrence at quarterback, who at least gives them “a fighter’s chance” to win.
While has flashed his talent at times this season, he doesn’t have any receivers that can cause any separation with Reed saying that most players in the receiving core wouldn’t be good enough for at least half of the teams in the NFL.
The Jags also are lacking a running game and the offensive line collapses too much.
“Jacksonville didn’t do a good job putting enough talent around this kid to have any kind of success in his rookie season, I mean that’s the bottom line,” said Reed.
But don’t lose hope Steeler fans, The Colts are riding a six-game losing streak in Jacksonville and Sunday could make it seven.
In Week 10, the Jaguars game the Colts a game with Lawrence fumbling at the 50-yard-line late in the game for Indianapolis to secure a 23-17 victory.
