PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan)Prior to Friday nights game in Atlanta against the Braves, the Pittsburgh Pirates made a couple of roster moves to fill holes left by injury.
Outfielder Ka'ai Tom has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 19.
Tom will miss time with a left wrist contusion.
Infielder Cole Tucker has been called up from Triple-A Indianapolis, taking Tom's spot on the active roster.
Tucker battled this past Spring Training for that starting shortstop position with the Pirates but lost out and started the season in Triple-A.
On Thursday night with Indianapolis, Tucker went 3-5 with a single, double, and triple, just a homer run shy of the cycle.
The final roster move made by the Pirates was Troy Stokes Jr. being out-righted to Triple-A.
