The Arizona Cardinals have played against the Houston Texans every four seasons dating back to 2005, meaning that 2021 will be the fifth meeting between these two organizations. And how painfully ironic would it be, for Texans fans more than anyone else, if DeAndre Hopkins and J.J. Watt licked their lips from the Arizona sidelines as they played against their former team?

One half of that scenario is already locked in, barring an injury, thanks to the trade that sent Hopkins to Arizona prior to the 2020 season. And that same half is trying to bring the other one on board to complete the beautiful picture.

"Let's finish what we started..." Hopkins wrote as the caption.

So far, a number of teams were reported to have been interested in Watt, and their appears to be mutual interest between the three-time Defensive Player of the Year and the Cleveland Browns. He's getting recruited by some notable native personalities there, too.

But whose pitch carries more weight — an NBA star's, or a longtime former teammate and Pro Bowl NFL receiver? We're going to have to go with the latter here.

But does Arizona check all the boxes on Watt's wish list, which you can learn about in the video at the top of this page? A potential Super Bowl seems well within reach, given the emerging talent of Kyler Murray and some intriguing names on the defensive side, including Chandler Jones. A solid chunk of change could be thrown his way, as the Cardinals are already well below the cap and could further manipulate their books to create more space.

And though there are some needs to fill throughout the roster, Watt certainly wouldn't appear to hurt the defense if he came to town. Could Nuk's word move the needle? We may find out soon.
