PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) It was announced Wednesday that Duquesne University has been chosen to host first and second round matches of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 2024.
The NCAA made the announcement as part of the unveiling of championship sites for the 2022-23 through 2025-26 bidding cycle.
"Duquesne Athletics is proud and honored to once again serve as a host for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship," Duquesne Director of Athletics Dave Harper said. "This would not be possible without the strong partnership between Visit and SportsPITTSBURGH and PPG Paints Arena. We are truly blessed to work with all the entities involved.
The 2024 year will be the fifth time PPG Paints has played host venue for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship.
It was previously announced that Duquesne would play host to the games in the 2022 Championship Tournament, as well.
Duquesne has been hosting Championship basketball games since 1997.
