PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - It's not often you catch Ed Bouchette by surprise with a move the Steelers made, but he told The PM Team he was "stunned" by the team bringing Juju Smith-Schuster back.
"It's a good move by him, I think it's crazy by the Steelers," Ed said.
"We've talked how long about how they have no cap money, how they need to use it well and now they're trading a cornerback basically, a starting cornerback, for a wide receiver, where they have more depth at that position than any other position on the team and cornerback is more valuable. I just don't get it."
Ed is referencing the Steelers telling cornerback Steven Nelson that he's free to seek a trade or the team will cut him which many are interpreting as the team clearing up cap space to bring Juju back.
Ed pointed out that the last Pro Bowl cornerback the Steelers drafted was Rod Woodson, so it's hard to imagine why they'd get rid of a proven cornerback.
