Pirates fans may want to turn away for this one.
Former Buccos Andrew McCutchen and Josh Bell BOTH hit grand slams today with their teams facing each other.
In the bottom of the 5th, McCutchen hit a home run to left center field to give the Philadelphia Phillies a 9-5 lead.
But then in the top of the 6th, Bell his own granny to left center field, giving the Washington Nationals a 11-9 lead.
While that news will depress any Pirates fans, we’ll give you some perspective.
Bell isn’t exactly lighting it up for the Nats, he’s currently batting .224, with Cutch batting .228 for Philly.
The Phillies and Nationals are currently in a three-way tie for second in the NL East with the Atlanta Braves. The Mets have a 7.0 game lead.
