PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - The Steelers are now without an offensive coordinator after firing Randy Fichter, and The PM Team got insight from a guy who played under Ben and Randy Fichtner.
Former Steelers quarterback Bruce Gradkowski joined the guys and shared his thoughts on how the search for the teams next offensive coordinator should go.
"I think it's important now that the next hire is not only for Ben, but it's for the future and where this position, this offensive group is going to go."
So does Bruce have a coach in mind that would make sense for the Steelers? You bet he does!
"I've heard nothing but good things about Jim Caldwell," Bruce told us. "I have friends that have played for him, my brother played for him, so I just see that as a veteran, a guy that could be relatable to the young players on the team, that's detailed, has a good offense."
Click the audio to hear more from Bruce on the future for the Steelers offense, Ben's playing future, the direction they need to go and if he'd throw his hat into the ring for the Steelers quarterbacks coach job if the position opened.
