On Saturday night, Florida State lost their first-ever game to an FCS team when Jacksonville State scored a late touchdown to shock the Seminoles.

For one FSU player, he figured it was the perfect time to propose to his girlfriend.

Offensive lineman Brady Scott got on one knee and asked his girlfriend Makala to marry him, all while Jacksonville State celebrated in the background.

Seems like an odd time to pop the question since it was the first loss for the Seminoles to an FCS team since the league split from the FBS in 1978.

It’s also the first time FSU has lost to a non-major opponent since 1961 when they lost to Southern Miss.

If you think Scott should’ve kept the ring in his pocket until a win, you’re not alone.

But Scott has a response for some of the critics.

While the proposal may have been ill-timed in the minds of many, we wish nothing but the best for the couple in the future.
