World class soccer is coming to Pittsburgh this summer.

The Steelers have announced Liverpool F.C. will face Real Betis on July 26 at Acrisure Stadium in the Iron City Showdown.

Liverpool represents the Premier League, Real Betis represents LaLiga, out of Seville, Spain.

The teams have not faced each other in a match since 2005, in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

It will also mark the first time both teams are playing in Pittsburgh.

Liverpool F.C. has a connection to Pittsburgh. Fenway Sports Group owns both the soccer team and the Penguins.

A ticket presale begins on Wednesday at 10 a.m. General public tickets go on sale this Thursday at 9 a.m. You can register for pre-sale and early access tickets here.

Speaking about the addition of a third game to LFC’s pre-season tour schedule, Ben Latty, the club’s commercial director, said: “Adding Pittsburgh to our pre-season tour schedule is a great way to start our eagerly anticipated return to the USA. We were delighted to quickly sell out our fixtures against Arsenal and Manchester United on this tour and are equally excited to be able to offer our supporters in the States another opportunity to see Liverpool F.C. play. Real Betis will come with a strong squad and it’s going to be a great occasion in another iconic setting, in another fantastic US city.”
