Former Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, now with the Vegas Golden Knights, has been trying for years to score and empty-netter.

He got some incentive to try to get it done thanks to former NFL kicker turned broadcaster Pat McAfee of Plum.

On the Pat McAfee show Friday, he announced if Fleury is able to score a goal before the end of the season, he will donate $100,000 to a charity of his choice.

“Geez, you’ll get me trying every night now,” said Fleury.

A goalie scoring is a very rare occurrence since you have to get it pass everyone and in a straight line all the way down the ice.

The 36-year-old Fleury is currently 8-3 in 2021 with a save percentage of .942. He’s won three of his last five games.
