Minor League team plans #FreeBritney night at the ballpark

The Frisco RoughRiders are hosting the event August 5

#FreeBritney has been circulating on social media and is a way to show support to pop icon Britney Spears who is still in a conservatorship battle with her father Jamie.

The conservatorship is a court granted order for people who are unable to make decisions for themselves due to mental illness and other cognitive issues.

One Minor League team is coming to Britney's defense by hosting a #FreeBritney night as a promotion.

The Frisco RoughRiders (Double-A affiliate) of the Texas Rangers plans on hosting the event next Thursday, August 5.

According to the RoughRiders' website:

"The RoughRiders will honor the Princess of Pop on Thursday, August 5th with #FreeBritney Night.
Riders fans can earn free admission if your name is Britney or you dress like Britney Spears! In addition, the ballpark will be filled with Britney themes, there will be a T-shirt giveaway and fans can sign a petition to free Britney!"

Whatever happens in Britney's battle, there's no denying her case is getting a lot of attention.
