There were a lot of rumors and reports following Saturday's news that Cam Newton has tested positive for COVID-19.
Flying under the radar was a report from ESPN's Dianna Russini.
While quoting two players from the Patriots following Newton's positive test, it was revealed one current member of the team has had COVID-19 before.
“I had it already so I am good but only a few of us have had it," the player texted Russini.
It is unclear who the player is or when he tested positive, but it is certainly notable that a player on the team has had the virus in the past.
The Patriots-Chiefs game Sunday afternoon has been rescheduled for Monday or Tuesday, with Tuesday being the more likely day.
