The Pittsburgh Penguins are recognizing some of the Pittsburgh area's education MVPs (Most Valuable Principals)
The Penguins Foundation, in partnership with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and the Grable Foundation are honoring 16 local principals for the work they have done during a challenging year.
“The program recognizes principals who have demonstrated an innovative approach to learning, a continuous drive for excellence and a passion for their school and students,” The AIU explains in a release.
Each principal receives a $1,000 donation that can be used for a school project.
The winners also receive a prize pack from the Penguins and a personalized jersey.
