PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Penn State football added three future opponents on Thursday, none from the Commonwealth.
Nittany Lions will host Kent State on September 21, 2024, Marshall on September 5, 2026 and San Jose State on September 19. 2026.
The Golden Flashes matchup is actually a reschedule of a game cancelled due to coronavirus in 2020. Penn State is 6-0 all-time against the MAC school and won 63-10 in 2018.
It's the first home game with Marshall since 1930, a game Penn State won 65-0. Thundering Herd coached by former Penn State running backs coach Charles Huff.
San Jose State is also a reschedule from 2020. It will be the first meeting between the programs.
That leaves one non-conference opening in 2025, but with that exception, the Penn State schedule is full until 2027.
